Of Snow and Snowflakes.......

We had our first snow of the year this morning. There was lots of warning, for three days in advance. Yesterday everyone that hadn't run to the market for their Thanksgiving supplies ran to the market for their snowed in supplies. You could see the sand trucks at the ready. All the contractors hooked the plows up to those F-350's.

So we got maybe a half inch and it melted almost immediately.

I do have a snow problem however, or, more properly a snowflake problem. It's this giant plastic snowflake that's the decoration for the side of my barn. There are 110 lights imbedded within this thing. It worked fine last year, kept shining right through till the third week in January when I finally got around to taking it down.

Now, if you didn't know it, there's a special law of inanimate objects that applies to stored Christmas lights. It says that no matter how well or poorly you store them in January, they will not work in November.
Mike spent about two hours swapping bulbs.
It still doesn't work.
I've been staring at it for almost an hour now.
It still doesn't work.
I've checked the fuses., I've pulled bulbs out and pushed them in.
It still doesn't work.
At this point, I know what I would like to do with it, but then somebody else does want it to work.
.... and has said so.
plainly....!

So instead, I'm procrastinating with this entry.
...but it still doesn't work.

Maybe it's time to go unplug the hair clog in the bathtub.
