There was one this evening, walking across the plaza, as I was leaving my office. She was wearing a pink vinyl raincoat and seemed quite pleased with herself.
She was possibly five.
Mother and Father were about ten steps behind, paying more attention to trailing three year old younger brother then to her.
That was OK.
She was very carefully finding every puddle, no matter how small, and amusing herself by taking a jump into the middle to see if it would splash.
I smiled. She smiled back. In the instant I totally forgot the rest of a ten hour workday.
