Last fall I bought my '74 MGB roadster, as a project car. I've been restoring it ever since as time and weather allowed. Today I got it finished enough that I consider it roadable and will take it through the state safety inspection in the morning. I will be very surprised if it passes, but at least at that point I'll be able to use it and will have a month to fix whatever they don't like. I suspect I'll have to do a new exhaust system. The truth of the matter is that the one on there is suspect and I'm going to replace it anyway. Mostly it's just been too wet to fiddle with something like that underneath a car, otherwise I would have done it already.

It's been fun, a lot of cut and try engineering. Nothing that I haven't done before but it's the first time in a while. I'm looking forward to driving it. It's been over ten years since I've driven a roadster on a regular basis and I've rather missed it. Some things just have to be experienced.
