Sometimes there's a story inside the story.....,

I neither like nor dislike science fiction, and don't really follow it. However I have a co-worker that's big on it and she related an "inside" story to me today. This weeks episode of Stargate had a scene in which two men in a submarine were conversing to each other in Russian. It was a set-up as they were hearing a strange noise and should have been roughly "What's that? " or similar but no translation was offered.

My friend is a native of Odessa and is quite fluent in the language.
What they actually did say was, "Did you hear that noise in the torpedo tubes?"
"Yes, it's the insects left over from the last episode......"

I wonder how they kept a straight face and how many takes were required....
