As I left work this evening, I said goodnight to "J" my assistant and to "M", a woman roughly my age that sits across the aisle from us. About twenty minutes later "J" called to tell me that "M" had just received a phone call and had left, obviously upset.
Her sister is in one of the hotels that's been attacked in Mumbai, India and it is feared that she's a hostage.
Sometimes we look at random news from other parts of the world, think about it briefly, and say,"It's not here...." But, sometimes, it IS here.
