Why I don't always have the time to update my journal.

This is take III, the first two got lost in LJ Cyberspace.

It was the end of a long day in a long week.
I had stayed to do the late phone coverage, so it was a bit passed eight as I came through my front door. I was in a good mood, the market [where I generate a substantial supplement to my paycheck] has been kind. She greeted me at the door, with a kiss that had at least a "maybe" in it for later.

Then she said, "I have some more 'good' news for you. I started a load of laundry and the washer gave out a puff of smoke, so I pulled the plug."

Has any washer, ever, not died with a tub full of water? .... and in that water, a full load of towels? .... and three more loads of dirty clothes waiting to go in?

Somehow, I must have been out that day, when they discussed this part in "Family Life - 101"
