Bird Feeder and Temps...,

It got pretty cold last night - bottoming out at minus five, and with a wind chill that took it to minus twenty.
The birds knew that it was coming and totally emptied the feeder.
I restocked it before going to sleep.
When I woke this morning, I expected to see my usual two dozen sparrows and juncos.
Instead, the five crows that live in the trees across the street were on the deck and busily chowing down.
Normally I see crows in the tops of trees, I didn't realize how big they really are until I had a look from my kitchen window.
They are also very sharp eyed.
Even though I was several feet back from the glass, they spotted me and took off for the tree tops.
